TRL Technologies 

TRL Technologies is the Indian provider of TRL Software’s world-leading traffic management systems and consultancy services. We are using the latest technology, combined with our decades of experience, to help make India’s roads safer, smarter and more efficient. The local team are based across the Kerala region, supported by our industry-leading product management team in the UK.

TRL Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between TRL Software and Experion Technologies. Headquartered in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, the partnership brings over one hundred years of transport research expertise to Indian roadways and will support the country in future-proofing its road systems using local talent and the best of international research.

In coming together to form the joint venture, TRL Software and Experion will provide India with the most advanced traffic management solutions including the state of the art road asset management system ‘iROADS’, market-leading accident analysis software ‘iMAAP’, a solution that has already proven the world over to reduce road accidents by 30%; and congestion busting ‘Urban Traffic Control’ (UTC) software, supported with a local team that will bring revolutionary changes to the management of the country’s road networks.

Experion Technologies, a 15-year-old global IT solutions provider, has been the software development partner of TRL for over a decade. With strong product engineering DNA and an unwavering focus on delivering customer value, Experion has been recognised for its core expertise in digital product engineering services that drive new revenue streams, digitise business processes, and help improve operational efficiency and productivity. 

TRL Technologies takes the lead in delivering projects throughout Asia and also in Africa.

The team 

Our principal colleagues based permanently in India are:

Tony Matthew 

After graduating from the University of Calicut with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering, Tony went to the UK to complete a Master of Science in Road Management and Engineering at the University of Birmingham.

He has more than 20 years’ experience within the road transport sector and has implemented road asset and safety management systems for clients across various countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. Tony is responsible for operations at TRL Technologies and also oversees the delivery of TRL Software projects in Asia and Africa. 

Dr Bhavesh Jain 

Dr Bhavesh Jain is an experienced Road Asset Management System (RAMS) Specialist with a graduation in Civil Engineering from NIT Jalandhar and a PhD in Transportation Systems from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR).

He is currently contributing to Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) Technologies India, where he leads RAMS implementation projects across Asia and Africa. Bhavesh has a proven track record in customizing RAMS solutions to client needs, developing optimized road maintenance strategies, and delivering technical training on RAMS, HDM-4 software and iROADS, TRL’s RAMS solution.

With expertise spanning data analytics, GIS integration, and sustainable road infrastructure, he is passionate about enhancing data-driven and climate-resilient transport solutions.
