The refreshed brand introduces a new strapline, “Shaping Transport”, capturing TRL’s role at the forefront of next-generation mobility. The update reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to delivering world-leading research and software solutions across surface transport and related markets.

With a team of expert software developers, researchers, scientists, engineers and specialists, TRL collaborates with clients and partners in more than 100 countries to tackle the most pressing transport challenges. Its traffic software solutions support over 400 cities worldwide, helping to keep roads flowing, improve safety, reduce congestion and support the delivery of clean air targets.

The rebrand was developed in partnership with Stratos, a strategic creative and digital agency known for building brands and experiences with clarity and impact.

Stephen Lynn, Marketing Director at TRL, said: “This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter for TRL. Our new identity and the strapline ‘Shaping Transport’ better reflect who we are today,  a global leader driving innovation in mobility. As we continue to expand our impact worldwide, it was important that our brand clearly communicates both our heritage and our forward-looking ambition.”

Marc Smiddy, Creative Director at Stratos, added: “It has been a genuine privilege to create a new look and feel for an organisation that has led the field in transport innovation and research for over 90 years. TRL has an incredible legacy, and our goal was to honour that while building a modern, confident brand that reflects its global influence and future vision.”

The new visual identity has been designed to bring greater clarity, consistency and impact across all TRL communications, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in shaping the future of transport.
