Protect Young Drivers is a politically neutral, evidence-based website that brings together vital information about the need to better protect young and novice drivers during their most vulnerable months on the road. Until now, these insights have been scattered across multiple platforms.
Hosted by the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS), the website is a central hub intended as a shared resource for all stakeholders. It has been designed to inform policymakers, MPs, journalists, bereaved families, practitioners and members of the public. It brings together key facts, timelines, international comparisons, expert research and real-life voices - all helping to build momentum for licensing changes and stronger protections for young drivers.
Much of the material hosted on this website has been researched and published by TRL, who support this campaign and the centralising of all the facts about the benefits of graduated driver licencing and other interventions which would save thousands of lives in Great Britain.
