The world is united in a policy to improve livelihoods for the poor. TRL provides the knowledge and services to implement transport systems for the developing and emerging world that help achieve this policy.

We contribute to international road safety, including safety policy and management, training and education, and accident analysis and prevention. Our environmental staff help minimise the adverse effects of transport noise and emissions on neighbouring populations.

Software developed by TRL operates in over 100 countries and includes packages on accident analysis, traffic signals and strategic transport models.
