Deliverable D5.3 - Consumer Charging Trials Report
The purpose of this report is to report on:
- the behaviours of mainstream consumers using BEVs and PHEVS under two forms of managed charging, compared with charging behaviours when not participating in a managed charging scheme;
- the preferences of mainstream consumers for various charging schemes after experience of managed charging;
- inputs to the CVEI Analytical Framework to allow more accurate prediction of the likely volume and timing of PiV charging by mainstream consumers;
- the potential impact of managed charging on UK aggregated PiV charging demand.
The purpose of this report is to report on:
- the method employed for the Consumer Uptake Trial;
- the data obtained and the analysis performed;
- the results of full statistical analysis of the key data obtained from the Trial;
- answers to the research questions defined in the Consumer Uptake Trial design; and
- evidence-based conclusions from the Trial with regard to how the data have advanced understanding of Mainstream Consumer attitudes to uptake of BEVs and PHEVs, and therefore what the new state-of-the-art understanding of this area is.
Deliverable 6.1 Fleet Study Report
This report represents Deliverable 6.1, Fleet Study Report. Little is known about the attitudes of Light Duty Fleet operators to Plug-in Vehicle (PiV) adoption or PiV use; published research has been very limited. This report is intended to inform appropriate sensitivity analyses to be conducted in the Modelling and System Analysis work package (WP7), based on in-depth qualitative insights into the processes influencing vehicle choice, and likely charging profiles, in those categories of Fleets where PiV uptake could potentially have most impact on the wider energy system. The report summarises the methods employed and the findings from five individual case studies, and provides: a synthesis of insights gained across the case studies considered collectively; answers to the research questions defined in the Fleet Study design; and evidence-based conclusions from the Fleet Study with regard to how the findings have advanced understanding of Fleets, their potential impact on the energy system and integration into it (based on qualitative data), and therefore what the new state-of-the-art understanding of this area is.
Deliverable 8.1 Final Project Summary Report
This report summarises the activities of the research and lays out the key findings and conclusions, with a set of evidence-based, prioritised recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders.
