TRL are currently undertaking air quality monitoring on behalf of Public Health England at Grenfell Tower. This work has been commissioned in response to concerns regarding pollutants arising from the tower in the aftermath of the fire.

The monitoring is taking place at four sites around the tower. Particulate matter is being monitored at each site by automatic, indicative Osiris instruments. One Osiris instrument has been collocated with a TEOM reference standard monitor to allow for direct comparison and to give greater confidence in the results. At two of the four locations wind speed and direction is also being recorded.

Additionally, dioxins, furans, PCBs and PAHs are being measured at two of the sites, via Partisol 2000 Samplers. TRL were able to provide an instant response, installing the first instruments within 24hours of being contacted by the client.

TRL have supplied, operated and maintained all of the equipment with its in house team. In addition to the operation of the equipment our in house consultants are responsible for data management and reporting of the results.
